We’ll stand beside the sacred spring of life
And hold it safe despite what man would do
For dragonkind was here when life was new
And still stands guard against the worst of strife
So deep within this orb we call the Earth
Where life began within the heated rocks
‘Twas dragonfire that cleared away the blocks
So DNA could prove its vital worth
And now the noble beasts must stand and fight
To save the world of life from mortal doom
You’ll see their mighty shapes within the gloom
When folly by our leaders kills the light
The magic that they hold within their fire
They’ll spend to see that life cannot expire
