The last kiss

She seemed so cold yet passionate inside
Her alabaster skin turned statues green
He didn’t take a moment to decide
He had to know the vision he had seen
Her eyes were deep and black as empty holes
And captured his before she spoke a word
A voice inside him warned of stolen souls
Such superstitious talk must be absurd
A dinner date declined, but not a dance
They waltzed away the darkest hours of night
She held him close and so he took a chance
To consummate such passion must be right
The pain was sharp, a bite inside a kiss
How many men will end their lives in bliss?
