The Moon Over Giza

Each pyramid contains a King and Queen
Eternal love made physical in stone
Romantic dreams so many men have seen
Must I perceive their message on my own
But in my mind I hear a voice I know
The silver Moon has joined me from above
And through her eyes I know you’ll share the show
Five thousand years of sharing life and love
An actors voice seems strangely out of place
The “sound and light” can’t add to what we see
The truth is there wrapped in the Sphynx’s face
The wise old cat who’s seen infinity
The sunset died, and bathed the plain in gold
And you and I relaxed as tales were told
