We’re sitting here earning our pay
And everything’s looking OK
It boggles the senses
To say our expenses
Aren’t modest in every way
We work forty weeks every year
We mumble and then shout “HERE HERE”
The pay’s compensating
For all this debating
The value is certainly clear
The public don’t know how we’re stressing
To earn the prime minister’s blessing
It’s not really fair
To say we don’t care
And checking our deeds is distressing
Now don’t go and look at the news
It’s bound to pollute all your views
You know we’re not shirking
But busily working
On loopholes that we can still use!!!
