The Only One for You

I’ll wait for you until the time is right,
Until the stars are shining in your eyes.
I’ll keep you warm through winter’s gloomy night
And wait to see the summer’s moonlit skies.
A careless fool once plucked an April rose,
A fragrant bud he smelt and tossed away,
I’ll tend the bush until another grows,
A perfect bloom to light an autumn day.
I’ll stand by you as moods and seasons change
And never tire of living by your side.
However long it takes, however strange,
My love for you will never be denied.
You only need to look to know it’s true,
I’ll always be the only one for you.
