The Only Truth!

“We’re the source that’s free of bias,
The only one that you should trust!
Now hurry up it’s time to try us,
We’ll help your views to readjust!”
“We are free of fear and favour,
All our news is straight and true.
Our opinions never waver,
We know what you have to do.”
This is screamed by every station
Every paper, every show,
All across each different nation,
People know what you must know.
Each religion, politician
Pundit, editor and fool,
Pushes their own superstition;
That’s the only general rule.
Harking back to golden ages,
Nostalgia isn’t what it was,
Demigods ascend their stages,
Reminds me of that scene from “Oz”.
Pull aside the golden curtain,
Disregard the cheering crowd,
The only thing you’ll find,I’m certain,
Someone small who’s shouting loud!
