She raised the Jolly Roger when he died;
With vengeance in her heart and sword in hand –
The men who’d hung her husband couldn’t hide.
The witnesses against her man had lied,
No use for truth they knew they were too grand;
She raised the Jolly Roger when he died.
Each night she’d taste the tears that she had cried,
They fuelled her feud in ways few understand –
The men who’d hung her husband couldn’t hide.
Beneath her lash no orders were defied
And riches fell from all the raids she planned.
She raised the Jolly Roger when he died.
The courts they bribed found for the other side
But she would drive their malice from her land,
The men who’d hung her husband couldn’t hide.
Each guilty man was slaughtered by the bride,
Our Pirate Queen saw each of them unmanned –
She raised the Jolly Roger when he died
The men who’d hung her husband couldn’t hide.
