The piskie did it!

That dratted piskie always likes to play
He’s trouble on his own and with his mates
I caught him in the act just yesterday
He stole a bike and left it by the inn
By all the sounds they got in dreadful states
I’d take him on but know I cannot win
At least he keeps the Emmets far away
He drank a flask of cider on his own
And sang just like the bloody donkeys bray
My wife says piskies are a poor excuse
But then you know she loves to have a moan
And telling tales to women is no use
That dratted piskie always likes to play
At least he keeps the Emmets far away
Author notes
With apologies to all Cornish readers I was asked to write a Cornish sonnet
which rhymes
Abacbc Dedfef AD where A and D are repeated lines
I made A and D rhyme.
