The problem with contentment

Drifting softly to a stop
My poems make a meagre crop
Rhyme and metre both in place
But content hasn’t shown its face
Too content with Turkey dinner
Poetic fare is so much thinner
Maybe if the food was worse
I could write a decent verse!
