Weird sisters meet upon a blasted heath
And cast dread spells to see the future’s shade.
The rightful king will wear his final wreath
Before MacBeth sees all his chances fade.
A scheming wife demands a regicide,
One killing leads to further useless gore.
A spreading stain no washing cloth can hide
And Banquo’s ghost returns to square the score.
The story ends when Siward’s men arrive,
Well masked by leaves they’ve come to Dunsinane.
The few remaining principals alive
Combine to end the murd’rers bloody reign.
Deceived by words MacBeth has died a fool,
It’s Banquo’s sons who have the chance to rule.
