The Smart Phone Sonnet

The modern mobile phone needs constant charging,
So android fans all cluster round the plug.
An i-Phone’s role is constantly enlarging —
We’ve given technophiles another drug.

They race to grab upgraded applications,
“My latest widget’s far ahead of yours”.
With Blackberry and Winphone altercations
The conversation never quite matures.

Yet what’s the use of app’s if you’re a chatter
And only want a phone to call your Mum?
Ignore the lure of ads for phones that flatter
Go out and get a handset that is dumb!

But if you do you’ll be too bored for words
When all your friends are playing Angry Birds!
