The sweetest Rose

I wandered past and found the sweetest rose,
Where I had never thought a rose could grow.
A robin sat amidst a gang of crows,
Ignoring them and putting on a show.
Such beauty may not last too many years
But while it grows it lights the world around.
Before you lose the vision in your tears
Remember what a wonder you have found.
From barren soil it’s bright unblemished face
Will radiate an aura through the air.
And you will never find another place
Where such a rose is born from such despair.
The sweetest flower that I could ever hold
The desert rose will always win the gold.
