When Meredith Belbin considered the team
He thought up a name for each role
The thinker, the doer, the damn I could scream
Are bundled to make up the whole
I can see some reasons, some reasons I can’t
For instance he tells me that I am a plant!
But worse than the daftness attached to the names
Is why this old poppycock’s taught
He based it on managers playing strange games
And not on original thought
Most people don’t manage, they do things for real
And fitting these team types makes real people squeal!
