The two Ls

When you’re falling in lust
Then it’s all about thrust
When you’re only in love things go slower
When your full passions fly
Then your temperatures high
When you’re falling in love they are lower
When you want her so much
That you’d kill for her touch
Then lust is the way you are going
When you need her nearby
Or you’re sure that you’ll die
Then love’s the emotion that’s showing
The best of thing of all
That I think I recall
To be loving and lusting together
Then nothing is wrong
And you’re feeling so strong
That you’ll never be under the weather
But I know from my past
That such things do not last
You can’t live all your life up that mountain
Now if you’re in that state
Please rejoice while its great
Your emotions can spray from the fountain
Still the beauty remains
When the whitest heat drains
And lust cools to the merely volcanic
You do not need to crash
Run aground with a smash
Your emotions are not the Titanic
Life is kind to a fool
As he floats in the pool
And the fountain draws water back in it
And in time you will see
There is space to break free
It’s a game and you’re in it to win it!
