The (Up and) Down Side of Lisbon

From Portugal, a land of many beauties
From Lisbon, town of hills and cobbled streets
The weather’s warm so all the local cuties
Are dressed to give the visitor his treats.
The food is great, the wine is freely flowing,
The scenery makes light of all your woes.
A light Atlantic breeze is gently blowing
And wafting scents of breakfast to my nose.
But really do they need this bloody hill!
A ladder to the top would help me out,
The walk to work is taxing to the will
Survival to the end must be in doubt.
If I lived here I think I would be fit
But since I’m not I need a quiet sit!
