The Word That Cannot Be

For Valentine’s I dreamt a bunch of roses,
All deep, rich, red and redolent of you.
Each single bloom emphatically proposes
That you and I should never bid adieu.

A rose has always been the sign of lovers
But in my heart I know that this is new,
For every day increasingly uncovers
The truth that we will never bid adieu.

Although their thorns may token other worries,
Compared to rose’s beauties they are few.
Through every storm and winter’s fiercest flurries
I know that you and I won’t bid adieu.

A deep red rose brings you within my view
So you and I can never bid adieu.

Author notes
It isn’t an echo sonnet or a kyrielle sonnet but I liked the developing
repeating line idea so I used it [Posts%20by%20cricketjeff%201_files/happy.gif]

Cheesy and a sonnet, as to classy I leave that to the judge
