For love of one that is not mine
Who teases with her moonlight eyes
While she with others will entwine
I sigh her sighs
Speaks to me of loving friendship
She tears my soul yet still it flies
I know love is not pretendship
Just certain sighs
Knew the rules that we would play by
My love for her stays in disguise
I know she knows I will not cry
She hears my sighs
Life is good I do not blame her
We build on truth there are no lies
But painting in my heart I frame her
In heavy sighs
