I fall asleep and dream about her voice
The way the light falls softly on her face
Her nose may twitch and make my soul rejoice
For every single part of her’s in place
And in my dreams she softly says my name
A whisper in the air that holds her scent
Her smile is light and soft like candle flame
The promise in her eyes is surely meant
The vision fades and I am here alone
No goddess shines her light across the room
The emptiness is echoing my groan
No sultry maiden striding from the gloom
Or is my life a dream and dreaming real?
It’s when I fall asleep I truly feel
