Waiting for me

Waiting for me

Each night she will walk to the beach where she lives
And whisper to Neptune to keep me from harm
A swim in the waves is the tribute she gives
A payment to see that my seas will be calm

She stands on the dock and she stares at the sea
The beautiful lady who’s waiting for me
The crashing of storms and the waves making free
All carry my heart where I want to be

Each morning she rises and looks to the sky
To search for a wind that will bring her my love
And maybe she hopes that I’ve learned how to fly
So I can descend from the clouds up above
She stands on the dock and she stares at the sea
The beautiful lady who’s waiting for me
The crashing of storms and the waves making free
All carry my heart where I want to be

And later she hopes that today is the day
That we will unite when my ship brings me home
For next time I’m with her I’ve vowed I shall stay
In future it’s she who’ll be ready to roam!
She stands on the dock and she stares at the sea
The beautiful lady who’s waiting for me
The crashing of storms and the waves making free
All carry my heart where I want to be

Don’t know how well it meets the prompt, but it is where the picture took me.
