Weekdays!

But why do we have to have Mondays
The rest of the week is OK
And weekends are perfect for fun days
The time when we workers can play

There’s always a pall over Sundays
You know that they’re certain to end
You sigh and you dream of the “one days”
When you don’t need wages to spend

And Mondays are followed by Tuesdays
And Wednesdays and all of the rest
I think that I’d much rather use days
For filling my feelings with zest

So lets raise a glass to the Fridays
With promise of nothing to do
Those Fridays will always be my days
If I can spend Fridays with you!
