What is a thing that’s often brown,
And also always sticky?
A puzzle that may make you frown
The answer’s rather tricky.
It’s not a nasty substance which
Will make you wash your shoes;
I doubt that it will make you twitch
If that’s your guess you lose.
I better give the answer quick –
The brown and sticky thing’s a stick!
