What’s in a Name?

A girl I know called Carey Hunt
Is careful how she speaks
She won’t attempt an oral stunt
For many cautious weeks
She met her lover quite by chance
He called himself Shaun Laver
Their registrar had quite a dance
His voice so yearned to waver
They both decided they would need
A different married name
But they picked “Wok” with too much speed
Their children live in shame
Now if you read my rhyme out loud
Do not attempt to rush
Or if you’ve got a listening crowd
You’ll hear a mirth-filled hush
