\nI went of to Tesco, for something to eat
\nGot a lift with my daughter, came home on my feet
\nSaturday night’s not the highlight of life
\nWhen you’ve four grown up kids and one grown up wife<\/p>\n
Susan is watching some dance on the box
\nCurled up on a chair with a big box of chocs
\nWorld of Warcraft has Ray in a world of his own
\nAnd Frances is working so her patients won’t moan<\/p>\n
I’ve done some sorting, and some clearing up
\nFancied some tea so I’ve made all a cup
\nSaturday night’s not the highlight of life
\nWhen you’ve four grown up kids and one grown up wife<\/p>\n
I’m feeling fed up, though I’ve no idea why
\nI’m sure I’ll recover and I don’t think I’ll cry
\nI’ll sit myself down and type out a verse
\nAnd think to myself how life could be worse<\/p>\n
There’s a lot I should do, but I’m tired and flat
\nSo after this writing I’ll just do this and that

My dream alter-ego seems away for the night
