\nThe lovely ladies in Leather Lane market
\nAre there for my interest, and often they spark-it
\nThere’s a Japanese girl with a skirt like a belt
\nWhen the wind blows I bet it gets felt!<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a gaggle of three, buying sweets from a stall
\nWhich of the three is the sweetest of all?
\nThere\u2019s a man who\u2019s approaching with arms round a pair
\nI wonder if he\u2019d trade for the one that is spare?<\/p>\n
It’s not just the shoppers, some sellers are crackers
\nThe two selling Thai food are nobody’s slackers
\nThere are ear-rings, and silk scarves and very cheap clothes
\nAnd a queue of young ladies are looking at those<\/p>\n
But now I am back at the top of the lane
\nIt\u2019s time not for girls but for working again
\nA walk in a lunch hour is just an excuse
\nFor idly perusing the girls on the loose!

\nLeather Lane, parallel to Hatton Garden on the edge of “The City” if you are
\ntrying to place it has a daily street market. I like a stroll every lunchtime
\nand I work fifty yards away so the stroll often includes it. This was today’s
