\nA poet who rhymes on AP
\nWanted poems to fill him with glee
\nSo a contest he made
\nAnd limericks he bade
\nAnd one of the entrants was me<\/p>\n
I couldn’t think what I should write
\nWhen I entered this contest tonight
\nSo that’s what I said
\nAnd then thought of bed
\nBut my entry so far wasn’t right<\/p>\n
It needed a punchline I feel
\nSomething poignant but utterly real
\nA tag-line I mean
\nSomething simple and clean
\nSo the trophy I’d know I could steal<\/p>\n
But good zippy poems take some time
\nAnd not sleeping at night is a crime
\nI tore out my hair
\nGave up in despair
\nI simply cannot finish this rhyme<\/p>\n
It’s bugging my braincells no end
\nThat the verses won’t stop at the end
\nIt’s so over the top
\nAnd it simply won’t stop
\nThat I may have to shoot it my friend<\/p>\n
And added to that you want slutty
\nPerhaps a lady with morals like putty
\nWho’ll sit in one verse
\nAnd blaspheme and curse
\nWith a punchline that’s awfully smutty<\/p>\n
So I’ve come here to tell you that I
\nCannot enter the contest and why
\nIt’s not that your wrong
\nTo ask for this song
\nIt just that my talent’s gone shy!

\nOK you asked for limericks limericks limericks, I didn’t stop at 3 though. You
\nwanted absurd, this is. Slutty well a bit dubious there. Funny, that’s up to
