\nLost in private, silent reverie
\nWhen, without a single warning, there is sitting on my lap
\nThe loveliest young lady I could see.
\nYou were standing by the door in the next carriage to mine,
\nWhen you saw that I was sitting on a seat.
\nSo you sneaked in through the door that separates the cars
\nSo you could take the weight off from your feet.
\nIf everyone aboard a crowded train was told to share
\nI imagine that a lot would make a fuss
\nBut if everyone was told they could share a seat with you
\nThen I don\u2019t think many men would take a bus
\nAlthough when I am sitting under you aboard a train
\nThere are not too many spots I\u2019d rather be
\nI\u2019d be a much more happy fellow if the train was not so full
\nAnd you were sat upon my knee in privacy!
