\nMy Bob works hard most every day
\nEarning Mr Scrooge his pay
\nYet he himself gets little back
\nJust worries he will get the sack<\/p>\n
Tiny Tim is small and ill
\nYet Bob adores his steady will
\nHis little face is full of fun
\nHe says “God bless us everyone”<\/p>\n
Christmas Day, the family joins
\nTo share the fruits of so few coins
\nAnd Bob will comment every year
\nHow the pudding brings him cheer<\/p>\n
And now this morning early knock
\nDemanding that I draw the lock
\nA turkey fit to serve the Queen
\nBrought by a man I’ve never seen<\/p>\n
Will the baker have the space?
\nThis bird will fill up half the place
\nA Christmas dinner none have known
\nAnd yet we have it for our own<\/p>\n
With the turkey, beer was brought
\nOther trimmings I’d have sought
\nBut we’ll have meat enough for days
\nHowever long our daughter stays!<\/p>\n
Next day Bob is rather late
\nHe expects a dreadful fate
\nBut early home and smiling broad
\nFate at last brings him reward<\/p>\n
Extra money, Scrooge gone mad
\nA happier Bob I’ve never had
\nMedicine for Tim he says
\nMr Scrooge insists he pays!<\/p>\n
From blackest night to brightest day
\nChristmas seems to find a way
\nFor lives to turn to rich from poor
\nNo wife alive can ask for more!
