\nWhen I was just a boy of sixteen years
\nMy poetry I kept as just for me
\nI think that this was due to manly fears
\nMy real feelings were not for you to see<\/p>\n
And so it stayed until a year ago
\nBut now I know that poetry is real
\nSo I would hope you put yourself on show
\nAnd let the world know what it is you feel<\/p>\n
For me I hope you like my simple verse
\nA sonnet penned to show that men can write
\nI could have written “hot” or even worse
\nTo send my readers heading out of sight<\/p>\n
But here I am laid out in front of you
\nI hope you think my poetry will do<\/p>\n
