{"id":2364,"date":"2023-11-26T20:31:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-26T20:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicewaistcoat.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=2364"},"modified":"2023-11-28T22:05:38","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T22:05:38","slug":"jeffs-very-gooey-cake-us-version","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/nicewaistcoat.com\/wordpress\/j-poems\/jeffs-very-gooey-cake-us-version\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeff\\&#8217;s very gooey cake -US Version-"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Jeff&#8217;s very gooey cake (US Version)<br \/>\nby cricketjeff on February 3, 2008.\u00a0 \u00a9 Jeff Green, All rights reserved<br \/>\n2 1\/2 cups cake flour<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons baking soda<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1 1\/2 sticks soft butter (ie not out of the fridge)<br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n4oz dark chocolate, melted and cooled, not too sweet<br \/>\n1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups cold water<br \/>\nraspberry liqueur, to pour over it<br \/>\nChocolate butter cream, (equal weights of icing sugar (frosting sugar?) and<br \/>\nbutter with cocoa powder mixed until smooth and very fattening) add grated<br \/>\nchocolate to taste<br \/>\nChocolate shavings<\/p>\n<p>Set\u00a0 oven to 350 F.<br \/>\nBeat butter and sugar well, add the chocolate and vanilla, then beat in the<br \/>\neggs one at a time, make sure you keep all the mixture mixing. Gradually sieve<br \/>\nin the dry stuff adding water as you do. Beat well to make sure the flour is<br \/>\nall coated then mix until the batter is smooth.<\/p>\n<p>Cook in 8 or 9 inch tns that you lined with non-stick stuff, always put a round<br \/>\nof baking parchment (I think you call it the same)\u00a0 in the bottom. takes about<br \/>\n35 mins cooked when a wooden skewer comes out clean or it feels springy. Then<br \/>\nlet them cool in the tins.
