\nAs cold as an icicle clung to the gutter
\nHe knew she would warm to his touch
\nHer beauty was that of a frost on a cobweb
\nHe knew she would love him so much
\nShe never responded to words that he said
\nHe saw in her eyes they hit home
\nImmovable features of marble perfection
\nA classical statue from Rome<\/p>\n
He chipped at the frostwork wrought on her features
\nFinding a route to her soul
\nRevealing the warmth of the lady who loved him
\nTotal exposure his goal
\nThe ring that he bought was white golden with ice
\nA diamond worthy her heart
\nThe dress that she wore was the colour of frost
\nA lacemaker’s intricate art<\/p>\n
They wed on the morn of a cold winters day
\nWith snow on the path to the door
\nShe swept to his side like a skater on ice
\nWith scarcely a sound from the floor
\nThe reception was formal, the buffet was cold
\nThe speeches were bleak in extreme
\nNo hint of emotion to ruffle her features
\nThis isn’t the wedding to dream<\/p>\n
Then off in a car to their honeymoon suite
\nWith everything set for a freeze
\nShe dressed in a suit that was tailored and smart
\nAnd couldn’t have put him at ease
\nThen he gave her his hand and she clutched him to her
\nAnd things were now starting to change
\nHer hair was unravelled the suit hit the floor
\nShe was feeling a feeling so strange<\/p>\n
The ice in her veins had now melted like snow
\nThat was found on a hot summer’s day
\nAnd never again would this maiden of ice
\nReact in a cold hearted way!
\nFor she found the appeal of a love hot and live
\nWas better by far than before
\nAnd passion and fervour and warmth and yes love
\nWill live in her heart evermore<\/p>\n
