\nA charge is in the air.
\nWith tension building very fast,
\nExcitement everywhere.<\/p>\n
The warm wet droplets strike the skin
\nLike drum beats in each soul.
\nA new adventure can begin
\nWith pure release the goal.<\/p>\n
A lightning strike ignites the fire
\nA jolt to start the game,
\nThe thunderclap of raw desire
\nSo nature takes the blame.<\/p>\n
In howling wind the flames take hold,
\nThe rain cannot compete.
\nA lightning thrust inside the fold,
\nA thunderous burst of heat.<\/p>\n
Increasing pace of flash on flash,
\nThe darkest recess lit.
\nThe heavens echo to the crash
\nAs jigsaw pieces fit.<\/p>\n
The largest flash, that scream is you.
\nResponding to my roar.
\nThe mighty flood as storm breaks through
\nHas knocked us to the floor.<\/p>\n
The aftermath, the storm dies down;
\nWe clutch as lovers will.
\nThat TV weatherman’s a clown;
\n“Tonight all’s calm and still.”<\/p>\n
