\nThere are forty to score and it’s time for me
\nThey are bowling so fast I can hardly see
\nBut I know we can win<\/p>\n
Now it’s ninety for seven it’s looking tough
\nI don’t know if Peter can score enough
\nAnd as for me have I got the right stuff
\nAnd I know we can win<\/p>\n
One hundred and eight and now Peter’s caught
\nWhat do I get from this bloody sport
\nJust concentrate and play like you ought
\nAnd you’ll see we will win<\/p>\n
Young David has smeared a ball for six
\nHe’s fourteen years old and he’s up to tricks
\nThey’ll change the bowler to give him a fix
\nBut maybe we can win<\/p>\n
I’ve edged a two and we have to run
\nIt is bloody hard work and I do this for fun!
\nThe players who’re out have already begun
\nTo celebrate the win<\/p>\n
Another big heave and young David’s out
\nThe visiting fans have begun to shout
\nAnd it’s Mary in next, so I must doubt
\nThat we will see a win<\/p>\n
She’s only twelve and scared of the ball
\nShe’s never scored a run at all
\nBut there’s one thing, she is not very tall
\nAnd that will help us win<\/p>\n
He’s big and bad and mean and fast
\nHe’s going to win with one great blast
\nHe aims at her head it goes sailing past
