\nMy friend Pat
\nHas bought a cat
\nWho looks just like
\nA sheepskin mat<\/p>\n
Walk in the door
\nAnd on the floor
\nThis big fat cat
\nWill stretch a paw<\/p>\n
He likes to eat
\nA lot of meat
\nAll red and raw
\nThen licks his feet<\/p>\n
He never moves
\nJust disapproves
\nOf food that sweet
\nOr jazz that grooves<\/p>\n
The flat’s too small
\nHe fills it all
\nAnd this just proves
\nNo-one will call<\/p>\n
And all Pat’s friends
\nAre at wits ends
\nFriendships all stall
\nAt lets pretends<\/p>\n
It is no use
\nThey make excuse
\n“I’ve got the bends”
\n“The bull got loose”<\/p>\n
They’ll stay away
\nThe wisest say
\nThat Pat’s new “Moose”
\nCan wreck their day<\/p>\n
Pat doesn’t know
\nThe cat should go
\nIt’s friendship’s noose
\nIt kills the flow<\/p>\n
Pat has a wife
\nWho hate’s her life
\nShe has to show
\nThe cat means strife<\/p>\n
She’s bought a dog
\nA greedy hog
\nThe time is rife
\nFor chasing Mog<\/p>\n
The cat will run
\nIt’s back to fun
\nDrinking Pat’s grog
\nFor everyone!!<\/p>\n
