The Cat in the Clouds

\nI saw a sight this evening, as I drove from London Town,
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 At eight o’clock as I was heading West.
\nFrom hazy clouds above me an old Cheshire cat grinned down,
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The grin was there I couldn’t see the rest.
\nIt isn’t quite what I expect, on London Friday nights.
\nHe should have been down on the ground pursuing mice by rights!<\/p>\n
The traffic flowed without a care, perhaps they did not see,
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The grin that hung above them all today.
\nIt can’t have been the Cheshire cat was only there for me
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I saw him grin quite boldly all the way.
\nWhat can it mean when fiction turns to sights so clear and proud?
\nPerhaps it’s just the crescent Moon was peering through the cloud.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
