\nThe railway would be on time
\nAnd everything would be sublime
\nAll save for one small caveat
\nWhat was that foolish navvy at?<\/p>\n
He worked from dawn to dusk all day
\nAnd spent his nights in sleep and play
\nHis muscle power could be banked on
\nBut he’d less brains than many plankton<\/p>\n
He drilled the holes to set the charge
\nAnd knew the bang would be quite large
\nBut rather than a warning siren
\nHe shouted out a verse by Byron<\/p>\n
Now all of us are being sued
\nOur sorry hides have been pursued
\nWe deafened many folks or something
\nBy leaving safety to a dumb thing!<\/p>\n
