It can be rather chilly when you’re waiting for a bite,
\nYou can’t afford to shiver or they’ll fly away in fright.
\nSo I will have to sit until a victim comes in sight;
\nIt’s not a an easy life to be a bear.<\/p>\n
I’d really like a cuddle and a snuggle in the warm,
\nFor buns and sticky honey I am happy to perform
\nBut I am sitting waiting in a dreadful winter storm.

In Summer I can bask beneath a sleep inducing sun
\nAnd every single action seems to be a source of fun
\nBut freezing in these branches isn’t fun for anyone;

Perhaps a little squirrel will come searching for his nuts –
\nTo stave off pangs of hunger in his tiny rumbling guts,
\nThen I will pounce and eat him and there’ll be no ifs and buts;

A better fate by far would be if you would wander by;
\nYou’d look up in the branches and you’d catch me by the eye,
\nThen pick me up and take me home to where I know you’d try
