\nMy younger brother grew and would not stop;
\nAs luck would have it fashion fitted in.
\nIn efforts to be first to hit the top
\nA “shoes v growing” race would soon begin.<\/p>\n
At first a half an inch was all I’d need,
\nYou can’t be overlooked by tender years,
\nBut nothing seemed to dim his dreadful speed
\nAnd now an inch could not allay my fears.<\/p>\n
It could not last, he simply grew too tall,
\nI’d look a fool in shoes like Elton John.
\nI had to grasp the nettle, I was small,
\nAnd pulled my normal flat soled shoes back on.<\/p>\n
Sometimes in life we’re faced with tragedy
\nAnd platform soles were simply not for me!
