\nTo others she’s “The Pest”
\nSome verse she writes is soft and warm
\nThe rest is just “The Best”
\nAnd now new challenge lies ahead
\nAmera’s getting wed!<\/p>\n
All night she’s fighting saving lives
\nOf children who fall ill
\nAnd then all day this poet strives
\nTo slay us with her quill
\nNow she has things to do instead
\nAmera’s getting wed!<\/p>\n
She’ll write a sonnet touched by love
\nAnd kyrielles of doom
\nA quatern for the stars above
\nThen pantoums full of gloom
\nNow poetry flies from her head
\nAmera’s getting wed!<\/p>\n
While Erick holds his perfect prize
\nAnd what a prize he’s won
\nShe’ll still fill fans with many sighs
\nAnd cavalcades of fun
\nThis news won’t mean her writing’s dead
\nAmera’s getting wed!<\/p>\n
If she’s your Queen or she’s your friend
\nI’m glad that she is mine
\nYou know that this is not the end
\nSo raise a glass of wine
\nAmera you’re a thoroughbred
