\nAs thick black clouds roll in from every side
\nAnd dark brown spots appear on hardened ground.
\nThe sparrows fuss, then find a place to hide
\nWhen all the sky erupts in light and sound.<\/p>\n
Now nature stops, awaiting each surprise.
\nIt seems the gods are readying for play,
\nIt could be night, are clocks all telling lies?
\nBut light’ning flashes bright as any day<\/p>\n
Warm drops explode on overheated skin,
\nA white tee shirt turns dark and lets me see
\nThe welcome shapes where love songs can begin
\nAnd thunderclaps set all emotions free.<\/p>\n
The world is fresh and clean, the raindrops warm;
