\nA girl I used to know was called Susanna
\nShe was born a while ago in Indiana
\nWhere her mother was a cook her dad a tanner
\nTook a college course and learned to be a planner
\nPreferred to spend her time behind a spanner
\nMending strings and other parts of her “pianer”
\nThat was bought before the war by her old Nanna
\nFrom a sale that wasn’t run in proper manner
\nOn the outskirts of the city of Savannah<\/p>\n
When I went to visit her with cousin Peter
\nWho was working for a superstore as greeter
\nI had promised her a man who’d love to treat ‘er
\nAnd I’ve never met a man I’d say was sweeter
\nHe was gentle and would surely never beat ‘er
\nThough I knew that he could handle a repeater
\nSince I’d seen him fight to save a Senorita
\nWho was shouting she was tied up to a heater
\nBut she wouldn’t let the bloody man defeat ‘er<\/p>\n
That Spanish girl he said was Isabella
\nAnd her husband was the most unpleasant fella
\nCame home one night with bad news he would tell ‘er
\nTo pay for booze decided he would sell ‘er
\nWas shocked to find that she became a yeller
\nA harridan a you-can-go-to-hell-er
\nThen Peter found he’d locked her in the cellar
\nAnd drew his gun to shoot the man’s patella
\nHis chance to keep his misses wasn’t stellar<\/p>\n
Now Peter has proposed to his Susanna
\nShe’s sweeter on her man than any manna
\nAnd the banns have been proclaimed upon a banner
\nShe’s put aside her special tuners spanner
\nSaid Isabella be my wedding planner
\nThe service will be read by Pollyanna
\nWho runs a wedding booth in old Savannah
\nSo it can be attended by her Nanna
\nWho moved back there from home in Indiana!<\/p>\n
