\nGood poetry is not concerned with counting
\nTo get it right you listen to the sounds
\nThen pretty soon you’ll find the praises mounting
\nYour readership will grow by leaps and bounds<\/p>\n
The syllables should never be your ruler
\nIt’s meter makes the most enticing reads
\nThen formal verse becomes a whole lot cooler
\nAnd that is what this cranky planet needs<\/p>\n
Some folk may say the content’s all that matters
\nWell content’s king, but what’s a king alone?
\nWith spiky lines our concentration shatters
\nAnd you will find your readership has flown<\/p>\n
Technique in verse is always out of fashion
