Mind the gap between the train and the platform!

\nI’m sitting on the train beside a man who’s on the phone
\nAnd he’s shouting at a friend who cannot hear.
\nJust opposite a teenager, her assets clearly shown
\nIn a t-shirt that is very nearly clear.
\nAnnouncements give a warning that I must avoid the gap,
\nYou’d think that it was wider than an alligator trap.<\/p>\n
Two men discuss the footy, they are pleased that England won;
\nThe cricket though fills both of them with pain.
\nTwo schoolkids with a yummy Mum are having lots of fun,
\nBy swinging like bonobos down the train.
\nAnnouncements that are far too loud tell us the station’s name
\nAnd then repeats the warning, every time it’s just the same.<\/p>\n
It’s Wembley so a lot alight, the noisy man still shouts;
\nWhile next to him a girl’s lost in her book.
\nA suited man sudokus and erases all his doubts,
\nI’ve finished mine he’s trying not to look.
\nThe gap again! That woman’s voice would drive a saint to drink;
\nIt seems that London Underground assume we cannot think.<\/p>\n
A group of boys in football boots, they don’t look like a team;
\nA woman who’s the size of half a house.
\nLong legs are wearing hot-pants, they’re a homebound worker’s dream;
\nA mobile phone then gives a burst of Strauss.
\nThat bloody woman’s off again “We all know where we are!”
\nThe way she fusses makes me wish I went to work by car!<\/p>\n
The final stop, she tells us that “the train will terminate”,
\nWe stand so we can quickly rush away.
\nThe doors are automatic so we simply have to wait,
\nThat damned announcement still has things to say:-
\n“Take all possessions with you when you get out from this train”
