Oliver was born to be a brave explorer
\nWithout fear he leads his loves across the floor
\nAngeline his wife and lifelong sweet adorer
\nAnd their daughter Jess who loves him even more<\/p>\n
They have packed up all their valuable possessions
\nLooked at maps and studied stars all through each night
\nLeft their friends with love and heart-rending confessions
\nAs the three of them head boldly out of sight<\/p>\n
There are rumours in the world of creepy crawlies
\nThat the world is flat and they’ll drop off the edge
\nBut these three are modern day Sir Walter Raleighs
\nThey’ve set off to find the legendary ledge<\/p>\n
Will they gain their weight in gold and silver treasures
\nOr at any rate in fresh new hosta leaves
\nFind the avenues to ancient Aztec pleasures
\nOr the cabbages that grow next door at Steve’s<\/p>\n
They must find a way to shelter from the song thrush
\nExpeditions on this scale all carry risk
\nSo they spend the day beneath an aging yard brush
\nAnd at night their moves (for snails) are very brisk<\/p>\n
After nights and nights of hard unending sliding
\nThey discover they’ve unearthed a brave new world
\nWhere they spend the time excitedly deciding
\nShould they go back home where plants are tightly curled<\/p>\n
The decision reached by Oliver the leader
\nIs head back home to see his favourite aunts
\nOne’s the Queen and may well happily concede a
