Bloody Monday Mornings!

\nIt’s miserable and wet and early morning —
\nThe telephone was ringing off the hook.
\nI answered it while I was busy yawning,
\nThen promised I would go downstairs and look.<\/p>\n
The daily run at work was full of errors,
\nSo something hadn’t worked the way it should!
\nIt’s NFS, that worst of network terrors,
\nAnd six am on Monday’s never good!<\/p>\n
It only took a little while to fettle,
\nA second run was getting under way.
\nA call to arms had put me on my metal
\nA bloody awful way to start the day!<\/p>\n
There’s only one good thing in this for me,
\nA least I got a morning cup of tea!<\/p>\n

\nNFS is a “Network File System” a way of allowing many computers to share disk
\nspace, Fettle may not be a term you know, it means “to mend” or “to make ready”
\nand is very common in parts of Northern England but seems to have gone from
