\nWith the water hot as peppers you gasp in each shallow breath,
\nTill you settle back relaxing in a temporary death.
\nTake a glass of what you ache for, and a dream of all you need,
\nLet the popping bubbles tickle as your pent up thoughts are freed.
\nIf you’ve half a mind to fancy you will feel she’s there with you,
\nAnd her loving tutored fingers make your aching joints feel new.
\nIf the scene you’ve set is perfect you will drift around in sleep,
\nBut be careful to stay floating if you’ve run the water deep.
\nThen it’s time to turn to fiction — read a book or write a verse
