\nThe ghost of a story hangs over the book
\nAnd wanders its way to the edge of my mind.
\nThe spirits of legends that time overtook
\nRefuse to believe that life left them behind.<\/p>\n
A man who was left on his own by a grave
\nAnd driven to madness by sounds in the night;
\nA knight who was foolish but endlessly brave,
\nA princess who died in the throws of delight.<\/p>\n
I can’t keep away from the souls on each page,
\nTheir lives are relived in my wishes and dreams.
\nI see through the hate of an old woman’s rage
\nAnd run like the wind from the innocent’s screams.<\/p>\n
The book never closes, I’m never alone,
\nI cannot escape librarian’s curse.
\nDrawn back to the chill by an unearthly moan,
\nEach chapter of pain growing fright’ningly worse.<\/p>\n
The ghost of a story hung over the book,
\nAnd slipped past the wall at the edge of my mind.
\nI once had a life that these ghouls overtook,
