The Deli Dish

\nI’d never seen a finer recipe,
\nA dry and fruity promise of delight;
\nThe red wine of her lips was ecstasy,
\nI travelled south to taste her sweeter white.<\/p>\n
The texture of her tongue, the very best,
\nNo epicure has thrilled to such a dish.
\nBlack olives rested on the tender breast,
\nI asked for more and she fulfilled my wish.<\/p>\n
She sprinkled on a little olive oil,
\nAn extra virgin blend, but not naive.
\nWith all her care the meal could never spoil
\nAnd I’d enjoy a night you won’t believe!<\/p>\n
A special just for me that Saturday,
\nPrepared that extra special deli way.<\/p>\n
Gelato’s at its best when slightly warmed,
\nAnd hers was sweet and tasty on my lips.
\nThe little tricks my waitress now performed,
\nWere presaged by a wiggle of her hips.<\/p>\n
Italian bread must give a hint of fire;
\nBruschetta heated underneath the grill
\nCould not evince more ardent a desire
\nThan I could feel for this, my deli thrill.<\/p>\n
The chequered cloth was spread with all her treats,
\nAs time went by I sampled quite a few.
\nI offered her the savouries and sweets,
\nSalami was her choice, I’m sure you knew!<\/p>\n
I’m know you’d love this deli’s attitude,
