\nI thought I ought to go and buy a card,
\nThey said tomorrow would be Mother’s day,
\nAnd writing something in it can’t be hard,
\nFor Mum there’s always something new to say.<\/p>\n
The queues in every shop are out the door —
\nIt seems that other Mums are loved the same.
\nTwo teenage sisters starting up a war
\nImpressing Mum is clearly not a game!<\/p>\n
But I don’t need a card that’s oversized,
\nI do not need a badge or tinny tune,
\nThe greatest joke that’s ever been devised
\nIs wrong I’m sending love and not lampoon.<\/p>\n
The only thing I need the card to say
