\nHe claimed she was unfaithful so, for love, she had to die,
\nWhat twisted kind of lover could he be?
\nTo serve his self importance he was happy to deny
\nHer chance of happiness and liberty.
\nTrue love is not destructive, it serves only to enhance
\nThe lives of those who feel it, and to give a second chance.<\/p>\n
He claimed it was his duty to remove the dreadful sleight;
\nThat “crime of passion” couldn’t be a crime.
\nBut any honest lover knows that it cannot be right
\nTo deny their partner’s chance to feel sublime.
\nTrue love must be unselfish, it gives more than it can take.
\nTo harm the one you live for is to force your heart to break.<\/p>\n
The jealous are deluded, they defeat what they protect,
\nYou cannot harm the one you truly love.
\nBe wary of your feelings and be certain to reject
\nThe urge to give that single angry shove.
\nTrue love is born of beauty, of compassion and of joy;
\nNo man can be a lover with a passion to destroy.<\/p>\n
