\nOur World’s the greatest library of all
\nAnd poetry exists on every side;
\nA sonnet in a sudden winter squall
\nAnd villanelles recited by the tide.<\/p>\n
The trees can speak of many ages past,
\nWhile rocks perceive still greater spans of time,
\nAnd though to us their history is vast,
\nThe mountains want to tell their tales in rhyme.<\/p>\n
Stand silent then and listen to the Earth,
\nIts whispered winds and many laughing streams.
\nThey’ll spin you yarns of death and then rebirth
\nAs Gaia sleeps unstirred by endless dreams.<\/p>\n
The best of men can hear the planet sing
\nAnd only she sees good in everything.<\/p>\n
